Main Responsibilities
- Supporting the Sustainability Manager in implementing strategy (scope, priorities, timelines) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Promoting awareness of Daikin Chemical Europe sustainability efforts
- Collecting, analyzing and reporting on sustainability metrics as well as keeping up to date with industry trends, standards, and regulations
- Working on CSRD reporting projects (including EU Taxonomy), assisting all departments in data preparation, statistical analysis and performing plausibility checks
- Contributing technical expertise in Life Cycle Assessments, Cradle to Cradle Product Certification and other emerging eco-certificates
- Project management for supplier assessment; coordination of sustainability data demands of customers
Your Profile
- Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Energy, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Understanding of climate change mitigation initiatives, data collection scope and process aligned to the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi)
- Knowledge of global sustainability standards and reporting frameworks (UN SDGs, GRI, SASB, etc.)
- Ideally 1-2 years practical experience in the area of reporting frameworks like CSRD, CDP, EU-Taxonomy or TCFD is a strong plus
- A pioneering mindset, thriving in uncertainty, adapting to changing directions, and comfortably navigating ambiguity to drive innovative solutions for enhancing sustainability performance data management
- Proficiency in problem solving and analytical thinking; ability to meet deadlines as scheduled
- Competency with MS Office and data management software
- Advanced English skills are required, German is a plus
