Health and Safety Manager (m/f/d) Serbia

As researchers, we are responsible for health and safety, both experimentally and proactively, to ensure our equipment is safe to use. Based in Serbia, the position requires international placements at various project sites and offices across Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programmes for all Biogest construction projects.

Start date: 01/04/2025

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with applicable European and local regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Provide health and safety training and education to employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare comprehensive reports, and implement corrective measures.
• Manage health and safety documentation and reporting.
• Keep up to date with health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Work with project managers and site teams to ensure safe working practices.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.
• Manage the company's health and safety risk assessment and reporting processes.
• I travel frequently throughout Europe to visit project sites and offices.

• Experience in health and safety management within the construction industry.
• A recognized health and safety qualification (an advantage).
• Passed health and safety license exam in Serbia (an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of European health and safety regulations (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel.
