To expand our team in Neu-Isenburg we are looking for a dedicate Purchase Assistant (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date. 

Location: Neu-Isenburg (near Frankfurt M.), Germany

Your Role

The aim of the position is to handle operational purchasing processes efficiently, optimize cooperation with suppliers and identify potential savings. In addition, support with administrative processing, such as travel expense accounting.

Purchasing

  • Handling operational purchasing processes for services, office equipment and office supplies
  • Initiating orders, tracking and ensuring on-time delivery from suppliers
  • Working closely with existing suppliers and supporting the search for new suppliers in Europe; monitoring supplier reliability and quality
  • Support with price negotiations and contracts for short-term requirements
  • Maintenance of purchasing and supplier master data in ERP systems and regular reporting
  • Processing supplier complaints and ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Support in identifying potential savings and optimizing purchasing processes
  • Contract administration: recording and tracking contract terms, deadlines, payments and obligations

Travel expenses

  • Preparatory travel expense processing and hospitality: Checking incoming travel expense claims from employees in Germany for completeness and accuracy in preparation for reimbursement of travel expenses by the accounting department.
  • Ensuring compliance with country-specific travel expense regulations, in particular for FR, CH, ES, IE and PT
 
  • Other administrative activities as required

Your Qualifications

  • Ideally, you have completed vocational training as an accountant, a degree in business administration, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in financial administration (at least 5 years)
  • Good knowledge of national and international tax law as well as sound knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software and MS Office, and ideally experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
  • Independent, structured, and analytical working style
