Your tasks

The purpose of this role is to drive and manage all sales activitieswithin the EMEA single crystal territory. The senior sales manager will be responsible for for all Single Crystal sales and marketing initiatives across the region and ensures strong alignment with product management to address market needs and customer requirementsThis role develops and executes strategies that expand Rigaku’s  Single Crystal footprint by organizing, motivating, and leading the EMEA Single Crystal Sales team toward sustainable commercial  

A core part of this position is leading, developing, and expanding the EMEA Single Crystal Sales team, including direct sales representatives, agents, and distributors.

Main area of responsiblilities:

Manage Sales Managers and Agents

  • Lead, manage, and develop the RESE SCX sales team.
  • Manage personal activities for direct sales representatives and agents to expand market share of Rigaku single crystal.
  • Motivate, educate, coach, review and recruit RESE SCX sales  team members, as needed.
  • Plan and conduct periodic sales meetings and/ or conference calls to educate sales force on sales tactic and product knowledge.
  • Assist sales staff in pursuing and finalizing deals in their territory ensuring maximum sales at maximize margin.
  • Act as liaison between outside sales staff and inside sales administrators and product marketing group.
  • Ensure forecasts in SFDC are kept up-to-date to provide accurate snapshots of revenue stream.
  • Work with Product Managers and Sales Administrators to ensure proper systems quoted to prospects.
  • Work with sales team on contract negotiations and I or closing sales.
  • Work with marketing department to maximize the success of lead generation at trade shows or via the web.
  • Works closely with Sales, Corporate Marketing, and Customer Support to competi­tively differentiate and position products and resolve issues/ problems that affect product success.
  • Liaise with RESE CEO on departmental budget, size of sales team, forecasts for revenue stream.
  • Provide input on Market and Marketing Activities for Rigaku Single Crystal SBU
  • Provide input to Head of SBU and Product Marketing group to develop competitive strategies for new and existing products.
  • Provide input to Head of SBU and Product Marketing group to develop marketing pro­grams for new and existing products.

Ongoing Activities

  • Ensure all customer and prospect information is entered accurately in SFDC.
  • Ensure SFDC pipeline is up to date with estimated close date and system interest for sales team (pipeline should include all accounts actively pursuing equipment purchases)
  • Manage the preparation and submission of all tenders.
  • Identify creative ways to impact short-term and long-term sales.
  • Set yearly quota for territories.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical B2B sales of SCX systems
  • Leadership experience managing multinational sales teams
  • Strong track record in complex deal negotiation, tender management, and closing high-value contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, forecasts, and pipeline management (ideally with SFDC)
  • Knowledge of EMEA markets in scientific instrumentation, ideally including single crystal or X-ray technologies
  • Fluent English required
  • Excellent communication skills, intercultural competence, and willingness to travel internationally
