Simulation Engineer (m/f/d)
full-time, permanent employment

This position owner will work closely with the Head of Structural Engineering and Technical teams.

What you will do in this position:

Perform project specific linear and non linear structural calculations with FEM for Solar Tracking Systems
Develop and validate FEM simulation models for the dimensioning of assemblies and the solar tracker structure
Planning, execution and evaluation of mechanical tests for components and connections
Support sales and product management for product certification processes
Work together with design, purchasing, layout and sales team on solar projects for specific market regions (USA, Brazil, Spain, Middle East, Australia)
Determine and evaluate wind, snow and earthquake loads for offer proposal

You will be successful in this position if you:

Have a degree in mechanical, structural or civil engineering or comparable qualification (diploma, bachelor, master or higher) with specialization in numerical simulation
Have a very good knowledge of structural mechanics and dynamics
Already have 3+ years of experience as Simulation Engineer or a similar role with a demonstrable interest in the sustainable solar industry
Very good knowledge of relevant FEM simulation software (HyperWorks, SCIA, SAP2000) desirable
Specific knowledge about product certification processes desirable
Are very confident handling with international standards such as Eurocode, ASCE, AS/NZS
Feel comfortable speaking and writing German and English to both executives and technical stakeholders
Own strong coordination skills as well as very good time-management
Are an outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal, intercultural skills and “can do” attitude
