As an Application Engineer you will provide hands-on technical support for our machine vision products and our optical sensors across various automation industries, including automotive, robotics, assembly, and intralogistics.

You’ll work closely with the SensoPart sales force and our distributors to identify and win opportunities, provide training and support, and ensure they have the tools needed to succeed. Additionally, you’ll cultivate direct relationships to target key accounts and promote SensoPart’s innovative solutions.

Primary place of employment: SensoPart, Inc. US Office in Bingham Farms, MI

Main Responsibilities

• Conducting feasibility studies using our VISOR vision systems and our sensor technologies
• Providing competent product and application support for customers, distribution channels, and the SensoPart sales team, both off-site and on-site, with a focus on Pre-Sales and Post-Sales activities
• Delivering excellent customer support via phone, virtual, and on-site customer visits
• Together with international colleagues, we create technical documents and videos to assist with product promotion and education
• Planning, developing, and delivering demonstrations and training courses on existing products to customers and distribution channels
• Design and built trade show demos for the shows we attend

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in factory automation or related environments
• Proficiency in PLC programming or robot programming
• Machine vision and sensor experience is a plus
• Strong interest in a varied consulting job across multiple industries (automotive, robotics, assembly, intralogistics, etc.)
• High degree of customer and sales orientation with a solution-focused mindset
• A structured, autonomous, and target-focused working style
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Willingness to occasionally travel nationwide (approximately 25-50%)
• Ability to travel internationally to our Headquarter in Germany (1-2 times per year) 
• A valid US driver's license.
• Must be US Citizens or authorized to work in the United States (We do not offer sponsorship for visa's)
