The Transaction Manager, based in our Hamburg Headquarter, will play a crucial role in negotiating, and executing various project agreements associated with renewable energy power plants. This position requires a professional with solid negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of contractual and legal frameworks in the renewable energy sector, including utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) technologies.
The preferred location for this position is Hamburg. However, we are open to discussing alternative locations with suitable, qualified candidates.
Your key responsibilities:
- Contract Development: Lead the development of project-specific contracts, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) agreements, and other relevant project documents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, project execution, procurement, finance and project development) to ensure contracts align with project goals, comply with regulatory requirements, and mitigate potential risks.
- Negotiation: Conduct negotiations with project stakeholders, including investors, advisors, contractors, and suppliers. Work closely with legal advisors to ensure favorable terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with industry standards.
- Contractual Risk Management: Identify, assess, and address commercial risks associated with renewable energy projects, during the contract negotiations, before closure. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the protection of the Project Company's interests.
- Relationship Management: Act as a point of contact for dispute resolution, conflict management and interface between investor technical side and the company’s engineering and execution team.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all project-related agreements and correspondence.
Your qualifications:
- You have an engineering degree, bachelor’s or master’s degree or a similar education background in the related industry.
- You have at least 5 years’ work experience within the industry.
- You are a real go-getter, accurate, organizationally strong, independent and entrepreneurial.
- You enjoy working in a dynamic and international working environment where no two days are the same.
- You can work well independently, but you are also a strong team player.
- Excellent communication and hands-on mentality skills.
- You have a very good command of English, with the ability to participate confidently in complex technical discussions. Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, German or French languages is considered an asset.
