R&D Development Engineer (m/f/d)
(immediately & full time)
The position is limited to one year with the possibility of subsequent permanent employment.
Your responsibilities
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to advancing our next-generation technologies by combining hands-on engineering, analytical insight, and close collaboration with partners and customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute complex assembly, testing, and research tasks in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- Develop, operate, and enhance sophisticated assembly systems and tools.
- Apply a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software-driven assembly processes, including vision-based algorithms.
- Utilize state-of-the-art measurement and analysis equipment to support development activities.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with national and international partners and customers.
- Drive the exploration and development of new applications and contribute to the company’s technological progress.
- Represent the company professionally during customer interactions and occasional short international travel.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field
- Experience in executing complex assembly tasks and research activities
- Strong problem-solving skills under time constraints
- Solid understanding of assembly processes including mechanics, electrics, pneumatics, optics, and software routines (e.g., vision algorithms)
- Familiarity with high-tech measurement equipment
- Good communication and collaboration skills, you know how to strike a successful balance between organizational requirements and stakeholder expectations (internal and external)
- Strong laboratory skills, ranging from handling tools like hammers to tweezers
- Willingness to engage in short nationally and internationally travel as required
- An unrestricted travel permit is required for this position, particularly for travel to Central and North America as well as Asian countries.
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken (at least B2 level).
