A ficonTEC Product Manager joins the Sales, Service and Marketing team at the Headquarter campus in Achim. As a Product Manager, you will support the company’s business expansion, the Sales, Marketing and Service for PIC assembly and testing IIoT machines, including VCSELs, both at the device and wafer level. You are required to quote highly automated, high precision, complex assembly and testing systems.

Your Challenge

As a Product Manager, you will support the company’s business expansion, the Sales, Marketing and Service for PIC assembly and testing IIoT machines, including VCSELs, both at the device and wafer level. ficonTEC Product Managers are required to quote highly automated, high precision, complex assembly and testing systems.

Define & configure ficonTEC machines with standard components, by type (Assembling, Testing, etc.)
Keep up-to-date configurations with new company features, options, industry trends
Configure/define technical proposals starting from prospect’s requirements
Create quotations in strong cooperation with Sales Managers
For strategic opportunities visit customers with or without sales managers to identify prospect’s known and unknown requirements
Make product/requirements improvement recommendations
Work/network with R&D, Application Lab and Operations engineers in order to leverage their know-how in the technical proposals
Strong network with System Engineering to create technical proposals
Support Project Managers upon Final Design Review of projects
Provide ideas on what and how to market ficonTEC machines
Prepare/be part of webinar and/or technical videos
Participate national and international trade shows
Prepare/participate customer meetings/calls all around the world

Your Profil

From 3 to 5 years of experience in machine design and automation processes
Technical university degree is preferred, but not required
Excellent mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities
Solution-oriented as well as customer-focused way of thinking and acting
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Great verbal and written communication skills, able to manage meetings
Available to travel with short notice
Use of Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com, other company software resources
Able to work alone and with a team, self-motivated and entrepreneurial
Good knowledge about computer software and hardware, edge and cloud applications
High attention to details, organized and proactive
Able to step in the customer shoes to change to view on a project
