Regulatory Officer - Renewables Projects (m/f/d)

Rosneft Deutschland GmbH, located in Berlin, is currently under trusteeship of the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur).

We hold interests in three German refineries which account for 12% of total processing capacity in the Federal Republic of Germany. We are responsible for the marketing, supply and transportation of mineral oil and renewable energy products throughout Central Europe.

Your tasks

  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments regarding to the GHG-Quota and sub-mandates on German, Member States and EU levels
  • Identify new fulfillment options, provide executive summaries and deep dive analysis for the Renewables Project Team
  • Ensure legislative accountability, compliance and eligibility with legislative mandate requirements of new fulfilment options by collaborating with certification schemes, auditors, authorities
  • Support Renewables Traders in sourcing optimal RFNBOs (Renewable Fuels of Non-biologic Origin) and other fulfillment options, including forecasting and reporting on RFNBO obligations
  • Manage sustainability documentation, including incoming Proofs of Sustainability (PoS), maintenance of PoS databases and preparation of monthly RFNBO balances for refineries and terminals
  • Collaborate with refineries and refinery project managers to establish the required technologies and processes for new fulfilment options
  • Represent the company at conferences, workshops and working groups of industry associations
  • Support the implementation of the company system, structure to source and process the new fulfillment options while aligning with all internal & external stakeholders

Your profile

  • Experience in interpreting relevant national and international laws, as well as in creating respective executive summaries, bio and RFNBO-balancing, PoS management
  • Master's degree in law / business economics / engineering / science or equivalent professional experience
  • Solid Knowledge of relevant legislations and their impact on commercial concepts, e.g. GHG(sub-) quota submissions, bio- and mainfuels markets
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Business Fluency in German and English
