Mechanical Engineer (f/m/d)
Your tasks
You will design complex mechanical solutions for device components and equipment in the field of medical technology, ranging from individual parts to intricate assemblies.
Evaluate various design concepts and collaborate with a highly interdisciplinary team to further develop them.
Analyze and assess concepts and constructions both theoretically and practically (e.g., through measurements and simulations).
Report to the design management.
Develop and implement design-relevant individual components, assemblies, and devices in coordination with the design management.
Create and implement mock-ups, design, functional, and ergonomic prototypes.
Build mechanical, functional, trial samples, prototype construction, and equipment for series preparation.
Test the developed prototypes.
Your qualifications
Completed degree in Precision Engineering, Medical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the field of medical technology, with in-depth knowledge of CAD design software, particularly SolidWorks.
Experience in testing and evaluating developed prototypes (e.g., stability testing, force-displacement analysis, functional testing).
Familiarity with relevant industry standards is advantageous.
Ability to understand medical issues and translate them into technical solutions.
Passion for exploring fundamentally new ideas and theoretical/practical experimentation, demonstrating innovative problem-solving approaches.
Relevant experience in designing and engineering complex components and assemblies, including knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as injection molding, milling, etc.
Proficiency in actively engaging in technical discussions in English.
