Data Scientist (m/f/x/d)

We are currently looking for a Data Scientist (m/f/x/d) to join us in our office in Valencia or Nuremberg to work in an interdisciplinary, multinational team developing and deploying cutting-edge tech to answer a variety of strategic client questions and qualitatively enhance business operations. 

• Design and implement scalable end-to-end data science and data analytics pipelines 
• Derive analytical insights from a variety of unstructured (formal text, informal text) as well as structured (numerical, categorial, sequential) consumer derived and market focused data 
• Design evaluation and adaptation strategies to overcome domain or content biases of the applied AI models 
• Develop monitoring, testing and benchmarking approaches to ensure consistent quality of the models and pipeline outputs 
• Create, extend, and maintain deployed data analytics applications 
• Support your colleagues in data science, NLP and data engineering related matters 

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, data analytics, big data, or similar 
• 4+ years of experience in a data science related role as a researcher, ml engineer, or data scientist 
• Advanced knowledge of the following data analytics technologies and concepts: supervised and unsupervised learning model evaluation; data science packages (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, spacy, langchain, transformers, etc.) 
• Knowledge of the following software engineering related technologies: Git; Python; API and web service development (e.g. FastAPI); SQL databases 
• Basic knowledge of the following technologies and concepts: MLOps, LLMOps, ssh and linux terminal; interactive user interfaces (dashboards and webapps); data and system architectures; agile methodologies 
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) 
• Respectfulness; teamwork skills; organizational and planning skills; communication skills; creativity; problem solving; autonomy 

• PhD in data science, machine learning, computational methods or similar 
• 6+ years of experience in a data science related role as a researcher, data scientist, or ML engineer, ideally in a client-focused business environment 
• Experience with: DL finetuning frameworks including adapters; semi supervised learning, few shot learning, weak and distant supervision;  
• Building and deploying robust data pipelines; DL model deployment frameworks such as Nvidia Triton 
• Experience with vector stores and semantic search engines 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps Services or equivalent cloud tech; application containers and their orchestration (e.g. docker or Kubernetes); cloud computing; developing APIs and web services based on cloud solutions; parallelization frameworks such as MapReduce and PySpark
