Our newly opened Innovation Center in Dortmund is dedicated to R&D, technical service, and marketing. Here, Daikin Chemical Europe is conducting research on new and sustainable technologies like electric mobility.

Start date: immediately
Duration: 6 months (37,5h/week full time)

Main responsibilities

  • Supporting the Sustainability Manager to implement the sustainability strategy (scope, priorities, timelines);
  • Supporting implementation of projects & sustainability performance of the company in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Promoting awareness of Daikin Chemical Europe sustainability efforts through staff engagement channels and corporate website
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting on sustainability metrics to accurately measure progress towards goals
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to sustainability
  • Contributing technical expertise in Life Cycle Assessments, Cradle to Cradle Product Certification and other emerging eco-certificates and knowledge of global sustainability standards and reporting frameworks (UN SDGs, GRI, SASB, etc.)

Your profile

  • Pursuing a degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Energy or similar related Master`s Programme
  • Understanding in Scope 1, 2 and 3 definition, data collection scope and process aligned to the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi)
  • Flexible approach to negotiating and an ability to meet deadlines as scheduled
  • Energetic team player who is self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Competency with MS Office
  • Advanced English skills are required, German is a plus
