Our newly opened Innovation Center in Dortmund is dedicated to R&D, technical service, and marketing. Here, Daikin Chemical Europe is conducting research on new and sustainable technologies like electric mobility.
This position provides a great opportunity to gain practical expertise in process engineering and various application techniques of advanced functional coatings!
Key responsibilites
- Applying functional liquid coatings using various wet-deposition processes
- Benchmarking material properties to generate reliable and precise data
- Documenting experimental procedures, observations, and results to present to scientists in the team
- Maintaining laboratory inventory, equipment and consumables to ensure that the lab remains well organized and stocked
- Adhering strictly to all laboratory safety protocols
Your profile
- Current enrollment in a M.Sc. program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field
- Advanced English language skills; German language skills are a plus
- Hands-on experience working in a chemical laboratory setting
- Methodical approach to data, high safety awareness, and ability to collaborate in international, cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with analytical characterization techniques (e.g., TGA-DSC, microscopy, GC-MS) or liquid coating deposition methods is advantageous
