We are looking for a Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our EMEA service team.
Location:  Switzerland (<1 hour from an international airport)

Your Role

The position will involve the installation, maintenance and repair of Rigaku analytical equipment, cooling systems, computer systems and other related devices at customer locations.  
 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer locations within Europe and occasionally beyond to install, service, and maintain Rigaku equipment and associated devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems with customer equipment.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain system software.
  • Troubleshoot issues both on-site and via remote communications.
  • Provide customers with telephone assistance and remote online support.
  • Conduct customer training on the alignment and use of their systems.
  • Complete and submit service reports for all service work performed.
  • Maintain and update customer profiles as changes occur to equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems involved in product operation.
  • Use schematics, wiring diagrams, and verbal and written instructions to install and assemble products.

Your qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the use and maintenance of X-ray analysis and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German, French, and English
  • Willingness to travel extensively and be away from home overnight (70% +).
  • No restrictions on travel within EMEA / CIS (Japan and USA for training).
  • Full clean driving license.
