About the project

PLAN’EAT is a Horizon Europe project that seeks the development of innovative, effective tools and strategies to facilitate the transition towards healthy and sustainable dietary behaviour in Europe. In a consortium of 24 European partners, TMG leads the work on true cost accounting (TCA) to analyse the environmental, health and social impacts of European diets and their associated hidden costs.

Your tasks

  • Support with the development of a communication strategy and communication material on the subject of true cost accounting addressing policy makers and consumers
  • Support the programmes’ media and communication outreach and develop content for newsletters, social media, conferences and other media
  • Proof-read and edit PLAN’EAT publications such as scientific reports, policy briefs, newspaper articles
  • Support with the design of PLAN’EAT publications, presentations and information graphics
  • Assist with literature search and carry out preliminary research on the subject of true cost accounting, sustainable diets and transformation of food systems
  • Support the international research team in day-to-day activities such as event planning, publication of reports, developing reference lists or with fundraising efforts

Your profile

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in journalism, media and communication science, social and political science, agricultural economics, global studies, or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication and editing skills in English and German (C1/C2)
  • Great talent for translating scientific findings into easy-to-understand information
  • Experience with developing communications strategies and materials is a plus
  • Interest in research in the field of sustainable food systems, sustainable finance and/or sustainability reporting
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, strong team-spirit and a commitment to working within a dynamic, transdisciplinary organisation

The position is to be filled as soon as possible with an initial contract period of two semesters. Duty station is Berlin.
