To strengthen our Development Team, we are looking for a System Engineer (m/f/d) for a permanent position.
Your Responsibilities
As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and optimization of complex hardware-software systems. You will work hands-on across disciplines and play a key role in translating requirements into robust, scalable system solutions.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing system architectures with a focus on embedded hardware and software
- Developing and optimizing electronic hardware, including PCB design
- Conducting hardware, firmware, and system-level testing
- Developing, integrating, and maintaining software components (e.g. Python, C++)
- Building, testing, and evaluating prototypes for internal validation and customer applications
- Creating and maintaining structured technical documentation
- Supporting customers with technical inquiries and system-related questions
- Collaborating closely with R&D, production, and external partners to ensure efficient and structured development processes
Your Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent (e.g. M.Sc., Dipl.-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Very good knowledge of Python and C++, as well as PCB design and CAD tools (e.g. Fusion 360)
- Expert knowledge in Electrical Engineering, especially embedded electronics combined with broad technical understanding
- Solid analytical skills and a proven ability to develop and implement effective technical solutions
- High level of implementation strength, fast realization, and a success-oriented working style
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- High degree of initiative, independence, reliability, and flexibility
- Strong willingness to learn, quick comprehension, and openness to new technologies and challenges
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; confident, composed, and able to handle conflicts constructively
- Team-oriented mindset combined with a customer-focused attitude
- Initial leadership experience or the ambition to take on responsibility is a plus
- Excellent written and spoken German and English; Chinese language skills are an advantage
