AI Engineer (m/f/d)

• Design and implement end-to-end AI pipelines for time-series and event-driven sensor data (e.g., pressure, temperature, current, voltage, etc.)
• Combine physical models with data-driven approaches (hybrid / physics-informed machine learning) to improve robustness and interpretability
• Deploy and optimize AI models on embedded and edge hardware (e.g., microcontrollers, edge gateways)
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers to integrate sensor electronics, data acquisition, and AI inference into real devices (battery stacks, robots, etc)
• Develop and benchmark regression and classification models for state estimation, anomaly detection, and remaining useful life prediction in battery-based systems or robotics

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• Solid experience (3+ years) in applied machine learning ideally for sensor-based systems, e. g. in robotics (perception, control, or monitoring)
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks and experience with deploying models to embedded/edge targets
• Experience with data engineering aspects for sensor data: synchronization, cleaning, labeling, handling of large continuous streams
• Proficiency in English and German
