Climate change and the reduction of CO2 emissions are among the greatest challenges of our time. Synhelion’s mission is to contribute to a net-zero transportation sector. We produce sustainable fuels from solar energy that can directly replace fossil fuels and are fully compatible with the existing global fuel infrastructure. We are working with the world’s leading industrial partners and top-tier research labs to implement our technology on a global scale. We are about to start solar fuel production in our first industrial demonstration plant, followed by our first commercial fuel plant in 2025. 

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic personality to join our Communication team in Zurich for 

Communication & Media Design (f/m/d) 80-100%

• You have a vision for the Synhelion brand and are responsible for developing, creating and maintaining a strong visual identity in line with the development of our scale-up company 

• You create visual content, such as graphics and videos, for web, social media, presentations, newsletters, and marketing materials 

• You have a 360° view of communication projects and feel at ease with writing texts in English for web, social media, presentations, newsletters, and marketing materials 

• You collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and deliver content that aligns with our brand guidelines and communication goals 

• For selected projects, you coordinate and work with our agencies 

• You follow current trends in visual communication, consult the team on visual content strategy, and propose relevant and cutting-edge ideas 

• You are a visual communication allrounder and depending on your background and interests, you support the communication team in daily business (PR, event management, etc.) 

• Degree in Communication Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Production, Marketing, Communication, or related field  

• At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role 

• Highly creative individual with conceptual thinking and attention to detail 

• Experience in content creation, storytelling, and brand development 

• Experience in photography as well as image and video editing 

• Ability to communicate complex technical content in target group-oriented visuals and video content 

• Positive and proactive team player with a hands-on mentality 

• Business fluent in German and English; knowledge of Spanish is an advantage 

• Software skills: proficient user of Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, MS Office, especially PowerPoint; Kirby and Confluence are a plus
