Geotechnical Engineer (g/n)
full-time, permanent employment

This role will work closely with our Head of Structural Engineering and an international team
of high specialists in the product development and validation process.

How you can be involved at Ideematec:

Create project-specific foundation designs according to the geotechnical conditions and the system-specific foundation loads
Plan and coordinate pull-out-test campaigns for solar tracker structures together with Sales, Application Engineering and Customers (EPCs, geotechnical engineering companies,…)
Evaluate the results of pull-out tests and oversee the company's geotechnical and PoT-surveys
Review of geotechnical reports for foundation and corrosion estimation for offer proposal
Engineering support on certification processes and customer requests
Collaborate with Sales, Project Design, Development teams as well as with external stakeholders
Support project execution team in after sales tasks
Optional: Calculate and determine project-specific loads for pull-out tests
Optional: Develop and validate FEM simulation models for foundation design of steel piles
Optional: Determine and evaluate wind, snow and earthquake loads for offer proposal

Requirements and experiences we are looking for:

Have a degree in civil engineering, geoscience, geophysics or comparable qualification (diploma, bachelor, master or higher)
Optional: have 3+ years of experience as Civil Engineer or a similar role with a demonstrable interest in the sustainable solar industry
Experience in the development and coordination of geotechnical fieldwork and construction activities, along with crew management expertise, will be highly regarded
Desirable: interested in structural calculation software (L-PILE, SAP2000, HyperWorks)
Are very confident handling with international standards such as Eurocode 7 and ASCE 7 in the latest versions
Feel comfortable speaking and writing English to both executives and technical stakeholders, German and Spanish are a benefit.
Strong coordination skills as well as very good time-management skills and multitasking abilities
Outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal, intercultural skills and “can do” attitude
