Junior Investment Manager

JUNIOR INVESTMENT MANAGER (w/m/d)

About the Role

As a Junior Investment Manager, you will support and execute investment and transaction activities across our European renewable energy portfolio. You will work closely with senior team members and cross-functional stakeholders, taking ownership of financial analysis, transaction support, and investment decision preparation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and partially lead M&A activities, including due diligence coordination, transaction structuring, and execution.
  • Prepare financial models, valuations, and sensitivity analyses for renewable energy projects (solar, BESS, wind).
  • Prepare investment memoranda, management presentations, and internal approval materials for senior management and investment committees.
  • Conduct commercial and financial assessments of renewable energy projects.
  • Work closely with Development, Technical, Legal, Tax, and Financing teams to evaluate risks and optimize project value.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks, and transaction precedents in the European renewable energy market.

Competencies & Experience

  • Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in renewable energy (solar, BESS, wind) in Investment Banking, a bank, or in a project development company within a transaction-focused role.
  • Related universtiy studies completed with a master's degree
  • Understanding of M&A processes in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to structure and communicate investment cases clearly and concisely.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Business-fluent English is mandatory; strong German language skills are a significant advantage.
  • This position will be based in our Hamburg headquarters; occasional remote working (home office) will be possible
