We are now looking for a Senior Project Development Manager to strengthen our team in Italy.
Your role
You will be responsible for the full development cycle of utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects:
· manage the permitting, planning and environmental aspects of utility-scale solar photovoltaic and BESS projects
· suggest corrective actions to ensure successful permitting based on a thorough assessment of permitting and environmental topics
· manage relationships with internal project development managers and external legal and technical advisers and project stakeholders (project developers, grid operators)
· monitor permitting applications and permitting process
· be responsible for successful project permitting by interacting with various internal and external professionals about technical and environmental analysis, grid connection and regulatory aspects
· oversee permitting-related aspects of technical due diligences for the acquisition of solar photovoltaic and BESS projects at various stages of development
Your qualifications:
· minimum 4 to 5 years of project development experience in the solar PV sector in Italy
· experience with land securing, permitting and grid connection processes in Italy
· good understanding of regulatory aspects relating to solar PV and BESS in Italy
· ability to manage utility-scale solar photovoltaic and BESS projects
· degree in engineering, architect environmental planning
· good understanding of technical aspects: environmental studies, grid-related (single-line diagrams, STMGs, PTO, etc), technical (project layouts) and land-related (land parcels, encumbrances, etc) aspects
· flexibility to travel in Italy when the need arises
· autonomy: go-getter and self-starter mindset is required for this role
· time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and fast changing priorities
· strong commercial acumen; pragmatic and problem-solving approach
· good team working and interpersonal skills in a structured corporate business environment
