Your Role:

As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in our leadership team, directly responsible for our company's financial strategy and stewardship. Working closely with the CEO and other team members, you will drive our growth, manage financial risks, and enhance our profitability, with a strong focus on startup/scale-up experience and responsibility for fundraising activities.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the annual budget and regular financial forecasts. Monitor our financial performance and adjust strategies as necessary and challenge the business plans and ongoing financial performance

• Investor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential investors. Organize and diligently prepare advisory board/shareholder meetings and resolutions and manage investor inquiries.

• Cash Flow Management / Treasury 

• Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and devise strategies to minimize them.

• Fundraising: Actively lead the entire fundraising process, encompassing the development and execution of strategies to secure financial support from venture capital, private equity, and other funding sources. This involves identifying potential investors, crafting compelling pitches, negotiating terms, and managing investor relationships to ensure a continuous influx of capital necessary for the company's growth and success.

• Financial Reporting: Ensure the accuracy of all financial documents and compliance with statutory reporting requirements. Present financial results and insights to the management team, advisory board, investors, and financiers.

• Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team to ensure high standards in financial management and reporting.

• Operational Process Optimization Coordination for accounts payable (Ikaros) and general ledger (DATEV).

• SPV Management and Coordination: Act as the interface for all stakeholders (management, financiers, clients), treasury.

• Compliance / ISO / ISMS: Responsible for finance-related processes and suppliers within the department.

Your Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of finance experience with a demonstrated track record of leadership success specifically within Start-Ups / Scale-Ups is required. This should include extensive familiarity and hands-on experience in environments funded by venture capital or private equity

• Expertise in positively developing profitability by optimizing processes and cost structures.

• Deep understanding of the financial market and the ability to articulate the company's value proposition effectively

• Outstanding communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage confidently and persuasively in English with team members across all levels and with external stakeholders, reflecting negotiation-level proficiency in English. 

• Deep understanding of financial management, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and the ability to work efficiently with people in different functions of the company

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business decisions.

• Innovative thinking and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven startup environment.
