Governance, Risk & Compliance Assistant (m/f/x/d) - Working Student

We’re looking for a motivated Working Student to support our Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager. In this role, you’ll work closely with an experienced GRC professional, gain practical exposure to risk management, compliance, audits, and information security topics, and gradually take on more responsibility as you learn.

The role is primarily remote, offering flexibility in how and where you work, with occasional on-site collaboration at our office in Nuremberg.

Responsibilities & Duties

This role is designed for a Junior / Working Student who is interested in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and wants to gain hands-on experience in a real corporate environment. The position offers close collaboration and direct mentoring by the GRC Manager, with a strong focus on learning, development, and practical exposure to GRC and information security topics. In this role, you will support day-to-day GRC activities, including the following tasks:

  • Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the GRC management system 
  • Assisting in risk assessments, internal controls, and compliance activities 
  • Supporting the documentation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and control descriptions 
  • Preparing, maintaining, and analyzing GRC-related data, evidence, and reports 
  • Supporting internal and external audits and tracking corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) 
  • Conducting research on regulatory requirements, standards, and internal guidelines 
  • Supporting the optimization, standardization, and documentation of GRC processes 
  • Assisting with information security and IT governance-related topics under guidance 

 

Your Profile


Education, Required Skills, and Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in: Business Administration, Economics, or Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Information Security, Quality Management or a comparable field
  • Students from interdisciplinary programs combining technology, business, data, and regulatory topics are highly welcome
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) 
  • Strong willingness to learn and interest in governance, risk, and compliance topics 
  • Structured and detail-oriented working style 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks under guidance 
  • Independent mindset combined with strong team orientation 
  • Good communication skills 
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Basic knowledge of or interest in: Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Audit, risk management, or compliance, Information security or IT controls 
  • Interest in standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST,NIS2 or similar 
  • Initial experience through coursework, internships, or student projects is an advantage 
  • German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory
