Software Architect - AI Agentic Platform (m/f/x/d)

We are seeking an experienced Lead Architect to design and lead the technical architecture of our next-generation AI agentic building platform. This platform enables the creation, orchestration, and deployment of intelligent autonomous agents that reason, plan, and act across tools, services, and data sources.

You will define system architecture, technical standards, and engineering strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and extensibility of complex AI-driven systems. This role blends distributed systems design, AI/LLM integration, and platform engineering.

You will work closely with engineering, AI/ML, and product teams to translate business requirements into robust, production-ready solutions.

• Lead the end-to-end architecture of an AI agentic multi-tenant platform (multi-agent orchestration, workflows, memory, tool usage, observability).
• Define scalable and modular system designs for agent runtimes, APIs, and services.
• Design cloud-native, event-driven, and distributed systems.
• Establish best practices for security, reliability, and performance.

• Architect integrations with LLMs, embeddings, vector stores, and model providers.
• Design frameworks for agent planning, reasoning, tool execution, and state management.
• Define patterns for memory (short/long-term), context handling, and knowledge retrieval (RAG).
• Ensure safe, controllable, and observable agent behavior.

• Design reusable SDKs, frameworks, and internal tools for agent development.
• Lead API design and developer experience for internal/external users.
• Guide CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices.
• Evaluate and select technologies and frameworks.

• Mentor engineers and conduct architecture reviews.
• Translate product requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Drive technical standards and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
• Strong experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Go, Node.js, or Java).
• Experience designing scalable APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems and LLM integrations.
• Deep understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience building agent frameworks or autonomous workflows.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agent tooling.
• Experience with vector databases and RAG architectures.
• Knowledge of MLOps and model lifecycle management.
• Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Background in real-time or event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing developer platforms or SDKs.
