Data Science Consultant (m/f/x/d)

• Deliver a broad range of projects/services in the area of Value Creation Insights as well as other projects with a high degree of business and / or technical complexity.
• Act as a translator between the business and technical requirements in defining project scope, customization requirements and package the outcomes for business executives’ consumption.
• Assist the Executive Team and Sales to develop proposals that require customized approaches and align the resource requirements with the delivery team.
• Develop customized approaches to cover specific insights that are not covered by our standard data pipes and contribute actively by coding in Python / SQL, as well as check and improve the model, classification, and clustering performance while correcting for content biases.
• Involved in quality control of the standard data pipes (from data lineage/ sourcing to insight generation) and customized approaches and check the output from a business and technical perspective to ensure the right outcome and iterate accordingly.
• Summarize findings and insights into PPT presentations / PowerBI dashboards.
• Participate in read-outs with client team members and present the results.
• Ensure handovers to clients and ensure customer success.
• Assist the Value Creation Insights Product Lead in further solutions development tasks as needed next to client project delivery.
• Ensure that security policies, procedures, and standards within their area of responsibility are followed correctly and the ISO certification and ISMS is supported within the scope of the role
• Proactively come up with and drive improvements and make the case for integration in the roadmap release.

Education, Required Skills and Experience:

• PhD. or Master’s Degree in computer science, data science, applied mathematics, statistics, econometrics or engineering with at least one year of business curriculum and one year of data and analytics/statistics curriculum.
• 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in strategy consulting with a broad range of projects of which at least one year in the area of Growth, Strategy, and Marketing.
• Mastery of quantitative methods for data analysis
• Proven experience in developing robust analytics solutions.
• Ability to quickly comprehend complex business topics, structure problems, derive and test hypotheses as well as execute a solution pathway.
• Solid communication skills with structure, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
• Working knowledge of the following data analytics technologies and concepts:  supervised and unsupervised learning model evaluation; data transformation; data visualization (charts and dashboards); python core data science packages (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, etc) as well as NLP packages such as SpaCy; transformers/LLMs NLP pipelines.
• Working knowledge of the following software engineering technologies: python; SQL and databases; git; API and web service development (e.g. FastAPI); Rudimentary knowledge of the following technologies and concepts: MLOps, ssh, and linux terminal; bash; user interfaces (app or web-based); system architectures; agile methodologies.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Respectful with team spirit and high ethical standards.

Preferred Skills and Experience (Upside):

• Due Diligence experience in the context of deals.
• Multi-lingual.
• High achiever in sports, arts, games, academics, competitions, and awards of all types.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps Services.
• Experience with deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with some of the cloud-based NLP LLMs and Platforms like Open AI’s GPT and Chat GPT, Meta’s Llama, IBM’s Watson NLP, Amazon Comprehend, Azure NLP, or Google NLP, BERT, BARD and Gemini.
• Knowledge of application containers and their orchestration (e.g. docker, docker compose and Kubernetes).
