Operations & Logistics Specialist (m/f/d)

Our newly opened Innovation Center in Dortmund is dedicated to R&D, technical service, and marketing. Here, we are conducting research on new and sustainable technologies like electric mobility.


Note that this position will be based in Dortmund but you will spend the first 3 months in Düsseldorf for onboarding purposes.

• Managing and executing the full order cycle within SAP
• Coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments
• Preparing specialized documentation for international import and export shipments
• Overseeing adherence to strict regulations regarding storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous and dangerous goods
• Issuing and tracking purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers
• Serving as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding shipments, claims and returns

• Vocational training in freight forwarding and foreign trade (Spedition / Groß- und Außenhandel) or a related qualification in supply chain / logistics
• Professional track record in order processing/operational logistics, preferably within an industrial or chemical corporate environment
• Practical understanding of trade mechanisms, import/export customs procedures, Incoterms, and dangerous goods logistics regulations
• Proficiency in SAP S/4Hana (specifically SD and MM modules) is a plus
• Business fluency in English and German; other languages (e.g., Japanese) are advantageous
• A strong service mindset to understand and meet internal and external customer needs
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to collaborative problem-solving within a multicultural environment
