Your role

We are looking for a Business Information System (IS) Specialist (m/f/d) for our sales and service organization in Neu-Isenburg, supporting customers in the EMEA market region, and our production site in Wroclaw, Poland, who will be responsible for the further development and continuous support of our ERP system. The role requires strategic and conceptual thinking as well as the willingness to independently familiarize yourself with practical problems and drive forward their solution. The optimization of business processes requires good technical and business knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively within a global team. Adherence to the Change Control Process is essential to maintain operational and reporting consistency across the Rigaku enterprise is essential.

Main Tasks:

  • Data management: Managing and ensuring data integrity and consistency within our ERP system and in exchange with DATEV.
  • Responsible for managing and respecting highly confidential information.
  • System administration: Ensuring the availability and performance of existing systems.
  • Comp-Support Activities (close cooperation with Rigaku US):
    • Support and respond to IS team members on computer-support requests to resolve user level issues, especially with ERP (SyteLine)
    • Monitor Comp-Support issues and identify developing trends to initiate Customer Enhancement requests.
    • Maintaining a connection to user level issues critical to understanding and improving users overall experience with our systems.
    • And other duties as assigned by department manager.
  • Reporting: Maintenance of SyteLine-related reporting tools, creation of reports using native SyteLine tools, BIRST, Insight etc.
  • Work within change management policies and procedures for the consistent management of structural and hierarchical changes to databases and reports.
  • Project management: Planning and implementation of ERP and other IT projects, including coordination between different departments and with external service providers.
  • Documentation: Creation and maintenance of business process documentation.
  • Security management: Implementation and monitoring of measures to protect company data (GDPR).
  • Consulting: Supporting the management and other departments with regard to the optimal use of the ERP system. 
  • Training and support: Conducting training for employees and providing technical support for the ERP system and other applications.

Your profile

  • Education: Degree in business informatics, computer science or a related field.
  • Professional experience: More than 5 years worked in IT, thereof at least 3 years supporting and coordinating multiple company sites.  Practical user experience and system knowledge in the implementation and support of integrated ERP systems such as Cloud-Suite Industrial from Infor SyteLine (CSI10), SAP, DATEV, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or Salesforce.
  • Technical skills: Sound knowledge of databases (e.g. SQL), programming and IT infrastructure.
  • Project management: Experience in the management and implementation of IT projects is desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, problem solving skills and a high degree of initiative.
  • Language skills: Fluent in German and English, knowledge of Polish is a plus.
  • A valid work permit for the respective place of work is a prerequisite.
