ProXES Inc. a worldwide provider of processing systems and equipment to the Food, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics and Healthcare industries has an immediate opening for a qualified Area Sales Manager focusing on the Food industry for various territories.  With decades of experience in industrial automation and machinery, ProXES strives to deliver comprehensive solutions to the highest level of performance and reliability.

ProXES features three prominent equipment brands: Stephan, FrymaKoruma and Terlet, which were brought together in 2015.  Products are designed to be scalable from R&D thru several tons per hour of finished goods manufacturing.  Stephan Machinery, founded in 1953, delivers processing solutions to customers that are in need of batch and continuous ways to size reduce, low/high shear mixing, kneading/stirring, dispersions, blending, emulsifying, cooking and cooling. Some of the product solutions we offer but not limited to are in the processing of convenience foods, process cheese and dairy products, meat and confectionery products, and most of the vegan products that you see in the market today.  FrymaKoruma, founded in 1949, delivers technological solutions that are used to manufacture various products including active pharmaceutical ingredients, lipstick masses, creams, mayonnaise, mustards and ketchup, and chocolate, with wet grinding batch and continuous, emulsions, dispersions, mixing, deaeration or deagglomeration equipment.  Terlet, founded in 1917, delivers to its customers solutions to continuously heat or cool. We offer process lines primary in the food and personal care industry producing products that include sauces, fruit preparations, jams, soups, baby food and meat as well as beauty products like wax and creams.

Job Description

  • Create and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Attend selected industry trade shows to meet customers and generate leads.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts/quotes for orders.
  • Visit clients and potential clients to assess their needs of promote products and services.
  • Work closely with marketing to align sales strategies.
  • Promote and attend customer trials in Mundelein Technical Center.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs and work in tandem with the project, application and service teams.
  • Support account receivable efforts.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Able to work with European Factory Personnel on sales and project execution. 
  • Meet or exceed sales targets.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a technical field. 
  • Experience in sales within the machinery or related field and possess a strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Proven processing abilities to run machinery in various surroundings highly advantageous. The candidate should be willing to become proficient in operating ProXES equipment (with training) to further the sales process.
  • Have the ability to work comfortably in a global environment.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Show business acumen, driving results by using data.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as using CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred (Food Science or related field), or equivalent training.
  • Excellent communicator and highly organized. (English/Spanish a plus)
  • Strong financial understanding of measures of performance.
  • Knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company and business.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in food division preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international as required.
  • Maintain a valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Individual able to commute to Mundelein, IL location.
