TECHNICAL & STRATEGIC BUYER (M/F/D) PROJECT PROCUREMENT

Aerospace Data Security GmbH (ASDS) is an innovative technology company of the Airbus Group. For more than 25 years, we have been developing highly secure communication and cryptography solutions for customers in aerospace, defence, and other security-critical sectors.

• Taking responsibility for technical and strategic project procurement, from identifying requirements through to on-time sourcing
• Selecting, evaluating, and managing suppliers as well as conducting quotation comparisons and price negotiations
• Procuring technical components, assemblies, materials, and services for our demanding projects
• Collaborating closely with engineering, project management, quality, and other specialist departments
• Analyzing and optimizing existing purchasing and procurement processes
• Developing and introducing standardized, transparent, and digital procurement processes
• Selecting and implementing suitable purchasing/procurement software and supporting its introduction within the company
• Establishing and further developing a structured supplier management system, including supplier evaluation
• Identifying cost-saving potential, procurement risks, and optimization opportunities
• Developing suitable KPIs and structures for transparent and strategically oriented procurement
• Creating and maintaining purchasing and supplier documentation

• A completed degree, e.g. in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a comparable field, alternatively a relevant commercial or technical qualification
• Several years of experience in technical and/or strategic procurement, ideally in a project-based environment
• Strong technical understanding and experience in procuring technically complex products
• Experience in supplier management as well as conducting quotation comparisons and negotiations
• Experience in optimizing and digitalizing procurement processes
• Ideally, experience in selecting or implementing purchasing, procurement, or ERP systems
• Ideally, experience in the aerospace industry or a comparable technology-driven environment
• Good written and spoken English language skills
• An independent, structured, and analytical working style
• Strong negotiation and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team
