We are looking for a
Motion Designer - Paid Media Assets (m/f/d)
to join our team in Berlin, for a fixed term of 2 years.
You own the creative production of paid media assets: from concept to final deliverable and report to our Creative Lead. You work closely with the paid media team, using their data to iterate fast. Your Creative Lead sets direction, defines priorities, and ensures brand coherence across output. Your job is to make the assets that perform and to use performance feedback to make better ones, faster. This is not a brand design role. You won't be building style guides or designing logos. This is production-focused, performance-driven creative work.
What you'll Do
Concept, design, and produce video and static ads for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. From first idea to final asset. These are the channels that matter most. If you can make a video that stops the scroll on TikTok, you can derive a static Google ad in your sleep.
Develop hooks, visual angles, and ad structures based on performance data. You know what a thumb-stop looks like and why it works.
Review ad performance data (CTR, hook rates, conversion) together with the performance team and translate it into creative decisions. What's working? What's not? What do we test next? You don't need to run the dashboards, but you need to understand what they're telling you.
Build and maintain a scalable ad design system: templates, component libraries, format matrices that let you move fast without starting from zero every time.
Use AI tools (Midjourney, Runway, Weavy, ChatGPT, and whatever comes next) as a core part of your production workflow to multiply your output and variation speed.
Collaborate closely with the paid media to align creative direction with commercial targets.
Create visual concepts for campaigns, landing pages, and product launches when needed.
Your profile:
3+ years of hands-on experience creating paid social media ads for Meta, TikTok, or YouTube. Video-first. You've done this either at a performance creative agency or in-house at a DTC / e-commerce scale-up. You have a portfolio that shows conversion-driven work, not just brand campaigns.
An understanding of direct-response advertising: hooks, objection handling, social proof, urgency. You think like a marketer, not just a designer.
Proven ability to use performance data to inform creative decisions. You can look at a report, understand what's working, and turn that into the next round of assets.
Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and Figma. You're fast and precise.
Experience with AI-based creative tools and a genuine drive to push what's possible. You don't need to be told to try new tools, you are on top of them.
Structured, self-driven work style with a high sense of ownership.
Fluent in English, German is a plus
