We want to expand our IT team and are looking for a team member in the IT – End User Support (m/f/x, full-time).

You will

  • Provide first level technical support for hardware, software, and account related incidents and requests in a predominantly Microsoft Windows client environment.
  • Communicate directly with those who seek our help by telephone, by email and in person. The people we support are faculty and staff colleagues as well as ESMT students, alumni and program participants.
  • Contribute to a variety of maintenance activities carried out by the Support Team, such as:
    • Installation of software and hardware
    • Administration of user account
    • Setup of employee workspaces
    • Preparation of IT equipment used during in-house events
  • Work within our ticket system responding to incidents and requests, ensuring problem ownership, and documenting solutions
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to find solutions and identify opportunities to improve the user experience with our services and IT systems
  • Have the opportunity to grow and expand your knowledge of a wide range of IT systems and services

You are qualified for this position, because you

  • Can demonstrate a solid set of IT skills through previous work experience in end-user support (non-traditional education and career paths are welcome)
  • Enjoy finding solutions for technical challenges
  • Understand that soft-skills like careful listening, clear communication and resourcefulness work hand-in-hand with technical skills to identify problems, find solutions and enable the end-user
  • Can communicate clearly in English (C1) and have at least basic knowledge of German (the business language at ESMT is English)
  • Strive for service excellence and have a hands-on mentality

As a member of our IT team, currently consisting of 9 full-time employees and 4 student assistants, you will master a variety of tasks within a wide spectrum of IT services. You will also have the option to increase your knowledge and receive training in IT topics of interest.
