To get closer to our goal, we are looking for a:
 

Junior Researcher – with expertise in microbiology (f/m/d)

Full-time, 40 hours

You will:

• Design research experiments focusing on the microbiological stability of liquid food with high water activity, in the presence of plant extracts and multifunctional ingredients
• Collaborate with the department of Quality Management in joint projects

Other relevant tasks are:

• Support the routine tasks of R&D, including the investigation of raw materials function, new technologies, production processes and product management
• Support the Production team, collecting data during test productions, within the scope of product development
• Create samples for customers in coordination with the Sale department
• Assist the Marketing department on research on relevant topics on the dietary supplement industry and market

• Completed training or completed studies, ideally with a master, in the field of biotechnology, food industry, microbiology, plant-materials, or comparable scientific field
• Knowledge of microbiology and ideally first previous experience in a microbiological laboratory
• Familiarity with a scientific laboratory and a microbiological lab – microscope, agar plating, sterile work
• Good knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
• Strong interest in the food manufacturing industry, including production processes and plant extracts management
• Willing to research various topics according to need
• Strong communication skills and ability to describe complicated data in a concise and comprehensible manner for a non-technical audience
• Personal initiative, openness to new challenges
• Solution-oriented mindset and creativity for new solutions
• Structured, organized, independent working style with attention to quality, detail and accuracy
