Research Engineer (m/f/d)

For supporting our Research (AI) team in our Valencia office we are currently looking for a Research Engineer (m/f/d)

Your job will be

  • Develop efficient and scalable Natural Language Processing (NLP) using deep learning solutions
  • Integrate solutions in production (own and colleagues´ solution)
  • Collaborate in NLP research projects
  • Support colleagues in software engineering-related matters
  • Serve as link between the research and the engineering staff

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, telecommunication technologies, or similar. Master’s degree in pattern recognition, natural language processing, deep learning, or similar
  • Fluency in English
  • +3 years experience in a NLP and deep learning related role. As a researcher or engineer
  • Advanced knowledge of the following technologies: python, tensorflow, bash, git, ssh, and linux terminal
  • Knowledge of API and web service development in python; bottleneck detection and resolution (in code, data pipelines, etc); software engineering; development methodologies; and agile methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, containers and orchestrators
  • Respectfulness; teamwork skills; organizational and planning skills; synthesis and communication skills; creativity; problem solving; autonomy
 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • +5 years experience in a NLP and deep learning related role as a researcher or engineer
  • Experience with container orchestration and cloud computing
  • Experience developing APIs and web services based on cloud solutions
  • Experience in publishing research material
  • Spanish and/or German a plus
  • Solid knowledge of containers and orchestrators; NVIDIA Triton Inference Server; Microsoft Azure DevOps Services; cloud computing solutions; pytorch; SQL; C and C++
