Data Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d)

• You develop data processing algorithms that have a direct impact on our digital product, the gutefrage platform (e.g. recommender systems, duplicate content detection, content quality ranking, topic clustering and user segmentation)
• Your focus lies on data topics for the live platform, and you provide support for business intelligence and data warehousing
• You work closely with other Engineers and Product Owners

• A Graduate degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, AI, or a related engineering field 
• Deep knowledge of Spark, Kafka and Hadoop, as well as excellent understanding of data processing 
• You have experience with data pipelines, both batch and streaming  
• Ideally, you have experience in building cloud based data solutions
• Ideally, you are familiar with machine learning, artificial neural networks, NLP and clustering algorithms 
• You have excellent coding skills in Scala or Python
• You are familiar with agile methodology and, ideally, have worked in agile teams before
• You are familiar with business intelligence and data visualisation
• You have basic understanding of the German language (at least Level B2)
